Literacy is the number one priority of all poor people. Most of the students attending government schools are below the poverty line, and the Government Higher Secondary School in Thiruvarur district, Kulikarai has been meeting the educational needs of students who are disadvantaged in education and economics. The school was started as a middle school in 1925 and has been upgraded to a Secondary school in 1973 and has been a Higher secondary school since 2005. The goal of a good school is not only to get students to score well, but also to get all the students of the age group to attend school and to keep all the enrolled students in school until the end of the school year. Such special aims are being fully practiced in the school. The following list will illustrate this clearly. A total of 700 students are studying in this school. The school is doing well with its self-contained buildings spread over five and a half acres. The school has the opportunity to build a classy, 18-room NABARD financial aid building, which was completed in 2019 includes well ventilated and lighted classrooms. Each Classroom provided with 3 electric fans and 3 tube lamps.With the viable climate and enough learning facilities this school is very conducive for students study and proud to serve for the community |
